               My eagerness chases the sun and the moon,

               I number the days till I reach my home.

               The winds of autumn they wait not for me,

               But hurry on thither where I would be.

                         蜀 道 后 期
 
                           张 说

               客 心 争 日 月，来 往 预 期 程。

               秋 风 不 相 待，先 到 洛 阳 城。

  译评：    首句误解，乃grudges days and weeks 之意。
          三四译文大佳，直译“洛阳”不若如此之能曲达。
