How to Develop Controlled Enthusiasm

    以下将介绍一些培养热忱的方法：
    Her are steps to building your enthusiasm:

    1．订定一明确目标。
    Adopt a definite major purpose.

    2．清楚地写下你的目标、达到目标的计划，以及为了达到目标你愿意做的付出。 
    Write out a clear statement of that purpose and your plan for attaining it
.Include a statement of what you intend to give in return for its realization.
 

    3．用强烈欲望作为达成目标的后盾，使欲望变得狂热，让它成为你脑子中最重要的一
件事。
    Back your purpose with a burning desire.Fan that desire;coax it;let it bec
ome the dominating thought in your mind.

    4．立即执行你的计划。
    Set to work immediately in carrying out carrying out your plan.

    5．正确而且坚定地照着计划去做。
    Follow your plan accurately and persistently.

    6．如果你遭遇到失败，应再仔细地研究一下计划，必要时应加以修改，别光只因为失
败就变更计划。
    If you are overtaken by defeat,study your plan carefully ,and change it if
 necessary. Do not change it simply because you have met defeat.

    7．与你求助的人结成智囊团。
    Ally yourself with others whose aid you need.

    8．断绝使你失去愉悦心情以及对你采取反对态度者的关系，务必使自己保持乐观。 

    Keep away from joy-killers and naysayers. Stick with the optimists.

    9．切勿在过完一天之后才发现一无所获。你应将热忧培养成一种习惯，而习惯需要不
断的补给。 
    Never let a day pass without devoting some time furthering your plan.You a
re developing enthusiasm as a habit,and habits require reinforcement.

    10．抱持警无论多么遥远，你必将达到既定目标的态度推销自己，自我暗示是培养热
枕的有力力量。
    Keep yourself sold on the idea that you will obtain your definite major pu
rpose, no matter how far away that moment seems. Autosuggestion is a powerful 
force in developing enthusiasm.

    11．随时保持积极心态，在充满恐惧、嫉妒、贪婪、怀疑、报复、仇恨、无耐性和拖
延的世界里不可能出现热枕；它需要积极的思想和行动。
    Keep you mind positive at all times. Enthusiasm will thrive in a field ful
l of fear, envy, greed, jealousy, doubt, revenge, hatred, intolerance, and pro
crastination. It needs positive thought and action.

    以上这些培养热忱的方法，难道不是你已经在做的吗? 当然是的。热忱是你为成功所
付出所有努力的自然结果。重要的是，你现在已了解你为达到目标所采取的每一步成功步

    If you think that your enthusiasm need work, that it hasn't been growing a
pace with your progress on the other principles, you can stimulate it with som
e simple exercises.

在记事簿中记入你的明确目标和达到目标的计划，每当你的热忱高涨时就把它记下来。这
不但会提醒你出现热忱的原因，同时也能使你回顾一下热忱所带来的好处。热忱就像一个
螺旋，它会向内转或向外转，也会上升或下降，使你的热忱 循着正确的方向发展。当热忱
的螺旋转错方向时，不妨回顾一下你的记事簿。 
    When your enthusiasm runs high, make a not e of it in a notebook. Write do
wn the circumstances that inspired you and the manifestations of that enthusia
sm. Were you spurred to action? Did you solve a problem? Did you persuade some
one of something? Also, keep a written copy of your definite major purpose and
 your plan for it inside your notebook. Ten, whenever your enthusiasm is ebbin
g, pick up your valuable book. Not only will it remind you of the reason you s
hould be enthusiastic, but it will also review for you the benefits of that en
thusiasm. Enthusiasm is a spiral, turning inward or outward, rising or falling
. To give your enthusiasm a push in the right direction, refer to your noteboo
k when the spiral is collapsing in on itself.
