Conclusion
Far from the mysterious entity that many claim it is, Linux's boot process is
straightforward and easy to follow after spending a few minutes looking at
the source code. Knowing Linux's boot process is important, because in
embedded settings the generic boot procedure must almost always be modified
to meet the needs of the target application. This document should help.
