New Format for Power Amplifier Workshop 2005/2006 

The 2005/2006 Power Amplifier Workshop will form part of MTT Wireless, a
 new weeklong event focused on wireless systems and techniques. In addit
ion to the Power Amplifier Workshop, MTT Wireless incorporates the IEEE 
Radio and Wireless Symposium and the Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolith
ic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems. These conferences and a vendor exh
ibition, will take place at San Diego's Convention Center during January
 15-20, 2006.

Power Amplifier Workshop Scope: 

Power amplifiers are a vital enabling technology for emerging wireless c
ommunications systems, and are evolving rapidly under the dual pressures
 of providing improved efficiency and improved linearity. This meeting s
eeks to provide a forum for innovative work in the area of power amplifi
ers, including requirements for and accomplishments in amplifiers for bo
th handsets and base stations.

Papers are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas:

    Devices for power amplifiers - Si and III-V based

    IC technology for power amplifiers

    Modeling and design techniques for power amplifiers

    System requirements and transmitter architectures

    Linearization techniques for handsets and base stations

    Measurement techniques

    Circuits for WiFi, WiMAX and mm-wave networks

Invited papers highlighting state-of-the-art developments from around th
e world will also be presented. 

Instructions for Authors: 

Prospective Authors are requested to submit electronically a 2 page abst
ract (one page text, not to exceed 500 words, and one page figures) clea
rly describing the novel features of their work to Prof. Peter Asbeck, a
t the address below.  Abstracts of accepted papers will be given out at 
the conference.  The deadline for abstract submission is September 1st, 
2005.  Submission via email is acceptable.  Please use pdf or Microsoft 
Word formats.  Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision by Se
ptember 26th, 2005.
