简介: Program Features：

The program of study is very structured with a strong interdisciplinary focus. In all three years there are key Nanotechnology courses. Following a common first year, students elect to follow a major discipline area (Biology, Physics or Chemistry) for their second and third years. Students who choose Physics as their discipline, for example, will study courses in Quantum & Statistical Physics, Fields Waves & Light and Materials & Radiation Physics.
Third year includes a nanotechnology research project which may be carried out in collaboration with external organisations.
The following is an example of the study areas in the program:

Year One

Mechanics and Thermodynamics
Chemistry (Engineering)
Mathematics
Cell Structure and Function
Genetics
Introduction to Nanotechnology
Exploratory Physics

Year Two

Elected Discipline courses from Chemistry, Physics, or Biology with -
Nanotechnology
Mathematics
Electronic Engineering
Two electives

Year Three

Elected Discipline courses from Chemistry, Physics, or Biology with -
Nanosensors
Semiconductor Fabrication
Nanotechnology Project
One elective
