AIMS OF THE CONFERENCE
As an annual international conference in Pacific Asia region,
DASFAA 2007 is an international forum for academic exchanges and
technical discussions among researchers, developers and users of
databases from academia, business and industry. The conference
will promote research and development activities in database
field among participants and their institutions from Pacific Asia
and the world as well.

-September 8, 2006 Submission of paper abstracts
-September 15, 2006 Submission of full papers and tutorial proposals
-November 30, 2006 Notification of paper acceptance
-December 10, 2006 Submission of panel/workshop proposals
-December 20, 2006 Notification of panel/workshop acceptance
-December 30, 2006 Camera-ready copy due date
-April 9-12, 2007 Conference in Bangkok, Thailand
PROCEEDINGS
The conference proceedings are planned to be published by
Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS)
series (pending approval).
SUBMISSION
PAPERS:
Authors are strongly encouraged to submit regular or industrial
track papers reporting original works which, at the time of
submission, are not under review or have not been published or
accepted for publication in a journal or another conference.
A paper must be written in English and must be no longer than
12 pages, following Springer-Verlag's LNCS manuscript guidelines,
available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
Only electronic submission (PostScript or PDF format) is accepted,
and the submission must be made by September 15, 2006. Based on
the recommendations from reviewers, accepted papers will be
classified into: full papers, short papers and posters.
PROPOSAL FOR TUTORIALS/PANELS/WORKSHOPS:
Proposals should include, in English, a half-page description and
outline; names, affiliations, and biographical sketches of the
speakers/organizers. Submissions should be sent to the respective
chairs (tutorials by September 15, 2006, and panels and workshops
by December 10, 2006).

Original papers on both database theory and practice are solicited.
