CALL FOR PAPERS
7th IEEE International Symposium on Web Site Evolution (WSE2005)
September 26, 2005
Budapest, Hungary
http://www.websiteevolution.org/2005/
Co-located with the 21st IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance
(ICSM 2005)
PRESENTATION
Since its inception in 1999, the Web Site Evolution (WSE) series of events have
provided a forum for researchers and practitioners to present original work on
subjects related to the disciplined evolution of large-scale Web sites.
As a one-day symposium WSE 2005 aims to bring together members of both the Software
Maintenance & Evolution and Web Engineering communities and provide researchers and
practitioners working in the areas of Web application design, development,
maintenance and evolution with an environment to discuss results and exchange
experiences about models, methods, techniques and technologies related to the
above-mentioned areas.
WSE 2005 will be held in Budapest, Hungary, on September 26 and is co-located
with the 21st IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance (ICSM 2005).
ICSM is the community's flagship event focused on the modernization of existing
systems.
The technical program of WSE 2005 will include invited talks, paper presentations,
and discussion sessions.
TOPICS
Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to, the following aspects of
Web-based application design, development, maintenance and evolution:
* Web design models and methodologies, at various levels of abstraction
* Tools and techniques for the analysis, reverse engineering and
reengineering of legacy Web applications
* Environments, tools and technologies for the development and prototyping of
Web applications
* Empirical studies on Web applications
* Web applications documentation
* Quality evaluation of Web applications
* Costs/benefits estimation and evaluation
SUBMISSIONS
Participants should submit a research paper or experience report, not exceeding
4000 words (8 pages using 10-point type), including figures and references.
Submissions may be in Adobe Acrobat PDF, Microsoft Word, or Postscript
formats and are due by Friday, June 17, 2005. Authors of accepted papers will
be notified by July 15, 2005. Final versions of accepted papers are due on
August 5, 2005.
A link to the submission web site is provided on the conference web site
(http://www.websiteevolution.org/2005/).
PROCEEDINGS
