                3rd IEEE Conference On Intelligent Systems

This is the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Systems (IS). It will build upon the success of IS’02 and IS’04 held in Varna, Bulgaria. The notion of intelligent systems is a fluid subject and perhaps that is its strength. Much work in the area can, however, be fairly characterised as integration on different levels of several technology directions- intelligent control, artificial intelligence, decision support, soft computing, knowledge discovery, data mining, data fusion, knowledge engineering, ontologies, organisational memories, machine learning, neural networks, intelligent measurement and visualisation- with challenging applications to complex systems. 

Our theme unifies the picture of contemporary intelligent systems as an integral concept that highlights several factors and bridges theoretical research with applications to automation, information technologies and measurement. 

The Conference will provide a forum for research, development, and applications of intelligent systems techniques across a variety of disciplines to be presented. All aspects of intelligent systems are of interest: tools, theory, algorithms, applications, etc. 


Following the tradition as established in the IS '02 and IS '04, a selected number of papers will be expanded and revised for possible inclusion in the Journal of Intelligent Systems. Additionally, there will be a special Volume to be published by Springer Verlag.
