Call for Papers  

As applications of information security technologies become pervasive, issues pertaining to their deployment and operation are becoming increasingly important. ISPEC is an annual conference that brings together researchers and practitioners to provide a confluence of new information security technologies, their applications and their integration with IT systems in various vertical sectors. The inaugural conference IPSEC2005 was successfully held in Singapore, 11th-14th April 2005. The conference proceedings were published as volume 3439 of the LNCS series of Springer. This second conference ISPEC2006 will be held in the beautiful city Hangzhou, China, 11th-14th April 2006. Again, we plan to publish the conference as volume of the LNCS series of Springer. 

 Papers 


Authors are invited to submit full papers presenting new research results related to information security technologies and applications. All submissions must describe original research that is not published or currently under review by another conference or journal. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: 

Applications of cryptography 
Critical infrastructure protection 
Digital rights management 
Economic incentives for deployment of information security systems 
Information security in vertical applications 
Legal and regulatory issues 
Privacy and anonymity 
Risk evaluation and security certification 
Resilience and availability 
Secure system architectures 
Security policy 
Security standards activities 
Trust model and management 
Usability aspects of information security systems 
The program committee will referee all papers, and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer as Lecture Notes in Computer Science .  

 Submission Instructions 


The submission should have no identifying information (no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references) and at most 12 pages (excluding bibliography and appendices) in LNCS format.

   Important Dates 


Submission Due:  15 October 2005
Acceptance Notification:  15 December 2005
Camera-ready Copy Due: 5 January 2006
Conference:  11 - 14 April 2006
