Call for Papers for
2005 International Workshop on Applications and Economics of Peer to Peer System
(AEPP 2005)
http://grid.sjtu.edu.cn/other/AEPP_CFP.htm
November 1, 2005 Nanjing, P.R. China
To be held in conjunction with
ISPA’05 Third International Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing and Applications
Scope
Research on peer-to-peer systems is growing rapidly, with particular emphasis on infrastructure services such as routing and searching protocols and so on. The ultimate success of a peer-to-peer system rests on a scalable and robust system design, utility and appeal to a wide range of users, and alignment of economic interests among participating peers.
The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from multiple disciplines to discuss the application deployment of P2P systems, application of economic theories to P2P system design, and future directions and challenges in this area. The program of the workshop will be a combination of invited talks, paper presentations, and panel discussion. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
l Security for p2p applications
l Supporting underlays for overlay applications
l Deployed application experience
l Performance of p2p applications
l Monitoring and administration of large scale distributed systems
l DHT in the small, e.g., in corporate environment
l Distributed multi-user internet games
l The Application Interface of DHT
l Interconnection of p2p networks
l Incentives and disincentives for cooperation
l Network externalities and scale economies
l Accounting and settlement mechanisms
l Payment and currency systems
l User behavior and system performance
l Economic impact to network providers
Submission and Publication
Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the AEPP workshop. The length of the papers should be a maximum of 8 single-spaced pages including figures and references on 8.5 by 11 inch paper using at least 10 point font (based upon Springer Proceedings Style).
