我已经在用了，很不错推荐给大家。水木上已经有不少人在用了。

CoolStreaming 0.0.40 designed by Xinyan Zhang 

CoolStreaming 是一种全新的流媒体播放软件，她的核心技术类似于现在非常流行的BT(BitTorrent)，即一个播放节点同时和数个播放节点交换（提供或索取）数据，使得带宽的占用达到最大化，获得最佳的播放效果。
 
该软件的使用和BT下载很相似，当一开始使用的时候，速度不会很快，但是经过10分钟左右的节点数据交换后，播放的效果会有很大改观，变得非常流畅。
 
目前该软件正处在测试期间，不是特别稳定，但是如果这项技术真正得以完美实现，这将是一个突破性的技术，也将会使网络电视大规模普及。( 这个软件为测试版，请谨慎安装。) 

使用时，目前常见的有两个问题：                                                  
1。asf文件需要和windonwmediaplayer关联，而且wmp的版本必须是9.0或其以上版本      
2。系统时间必须是标准北京时间，误差过大也会导致软件运行失败

CoolStreaming is an implementation of DONet, a Data-driven Overlay Network for live media streaming. The core operations in DONet are very simple: every node periodically exchanges data availability information with a set of partners, and retrieves unavailable data from one or more partners, or supplies available data to partners. 

CoolStreaming (originally named HotStreaming) has attracted over 30000 distinct users with more than 4000 simultaneously being online during broadcasting of the EuroCup 2004 soccer tournament.

We are currently migrating all the channels into the multiple channel version, please wait for several days. You can download a test version 0.0.40 here (there might be something wrong with the server sometimes). 

It is possible that the performance might not be good during the testing period, we do not have any dedicated servers for the broadcasting, even the media data is not generated by us. Therefore please be tolerant. Thanks.  

If you are interested in broadcasting your own video channel, or have some recommendations on the channels, please contact me.  

Currently we have no media source (TV signals/machines to encode the media), so if you want to watch some channels please provide me a link (mms:// or rtsp://, the link will not be connected by the users of the software, so only one user is ok), I can broadcast it.
