我在做语法题时遇到乐以下几个问题,请各位帮助我解答
一下：
1. The history of painting is a fascinating chain

答案是C，我也知道C肯定错，但是B的hour为什么不用复数呢？

多谢，能解释一下1�1、2题的答案的原因吗？
另外我还有二题：

prescribed_ .

答案是A，的确因为fill没有加s，所以A要用复数，但C的用法为什么不是
make it sure呢？ 一般make it possible 后加it 所指代的东东
而make possible后只能加名词的呀！ 我不理解
5 ------ , dolphins have no sense of smell.
A、 As known as far
B、 As far as is known
答案是B，可是做什么成分呢，是从句吗？那主语怎么可以省略呢？
请各位指教。

我认为 make sure 可以理解为是一个短语动词，后面是that引导的从句。
