I remember this question.
In my opinion, this email hasn't any meaning.
Just told you they still not made the final decision.
They will inform you the result after processing your materials.
In the process, maybe they will contact your refferences or interview you,
or none of these.
Of course,the third status is more common for all applicants.
But in general, your documents are more important in their mind.
