Asia Pacific Scholars Program
----Stanford University announces the PREMIER fellowship program for students
from the Asia/Pacific Region.
Introduction---
The Asia/Pacific Scholars Program is a fellowship program designed to
identify and support the very best students and future leaders of the
Asia/Pacific region in their pursuit of graduate degrees at Stanford
University. A full Fellowship will provide for basic tuition and fees,
a stipend, program costs and an economy-class round-trip air-ticket
from your home country to Stanford. Full Fellowships are currently only
available to citizens of the People's Republic of China, or Hong Kong,
SAR.
Eligibility
Any citizen of an Asian/Pacific country, broadly defined, is welcome
to apply to this Program. It is open as well to US citizens who plan to
do work on Asia/Pacific issues. Permanent residents of the United
States are NOT eligible. Asia/Pacific Scholars will be required to
participate in a year-long interdisciplinary seminar that also includes
social outings and travel. During the second year of the fellowship,
A/P Scholars will be encouraged to participate in occasional special
events。
Final selection to the Asia/Pacific Scholars Program requires confirmed
admission to a Stanford graduate degree program. If you are applying
from an Asian country, you must have received an undergraduate degree
from an Asian tertiary education institution and be admitted (or
seeking admission) to a regular Stanford graduate degree program.
Departmental admissions forms must be requested from Stanford University
and submitted to the relevant department in a separate process. The
Asia/Pacific Scholars Program can not help you with your departmental
application.
