Here is the rank of the universities in China 
 
(1) HKUST: it has No.1 MBA in Asia, very strong in Engineering and Science. 

           it has a class 100 clean room, which is No.1 in mainland and HK. 

           Glorious faculty team, leaded by Paul Chu, who is very famous for 

           superconductors (from Houston); its first president(jiawei wu) was 


           former President in Northwestern University in USA. 
 
(2) THU:   high quality students, strongly supported by Ministry of Education.

 
           it has great shape in engineering, now striving for science too. 

           its alumini are quite powerful in mainland. So it is reasonable 
that 
           any education reform can only be done from this university, though 


           not fair to others. 
 
(3) HKU:   like THU, HKU's alumini are powerful in HongKong. This university 

           is of british style due to its colony history. It is the first  
           university in HK.  
 
(4) PKU:   high quality students, good research output. strong in Science and 


           No. 1 in literature and Art 
 
(5) National Taiwan:  Its alumini are very famous all over the world. strong 

           in engineering and medical schools. 
 
 
(6) CUHK:  Very good MBA, Law and Medical shools. led by Gao Kun, the father 

           of fiber optics, the university is progressing in engineering and 

           science.  
 
(7) USTC:  the glorious CUSPEA history is over. However its education and 
           research still remain the same. its young talent class is the best 


           and successful in China 
 
(8) NJU:   Nan Jing University is catching up. very strong in Science, well 

           funded by Jian Su government.  
 
(9) National Jiaotong: near the taiwan silicon valley, good relation with 
           industry and strong in engineering 
 
(10) ZJU:  zhe jiang university is No. 1 in size now after merging. however 

           the average quality degrades because it only merged the poor 
           universities nearby. 
 
(11) City U HK: faculty team is very strong. though one is evolved in the spy 


           affair. facility is in good shape  
 
(12) SHJT: strong in engineering, which is the right time to attract better 

           students. taking advantage of the open big shanghai 
 
(13) THU in tainwan: strong in research, education 
 
(14) Fudan: long history, strong in Science, it has not found a method to 
            revive its fame expected by public 
 
(15) Harbin Polytech U: the best engineering University in Northeast of China 


            in history, it had great contribution to china's space industry
