    I am very sorry to trouble you, but I really need your help. 
I am an undergraduate student in the Department of English, 
Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China). I am very 
interested in the graduate program in your institution,and I 
wish to pursue a doctoral degree in Mass Communication with the 
desired date of entrance as Fall, 1999. 

    I learn from my advisor and classmates that your institution 
has a strong research background and many famous professors. I 
eagerly wish I can continue my graduate study at your institution. 
I have taken the TOEFL Test (08/08/98, about 640) and will take 
the GRE Test on 11/07/98. I do believe that the doctorate-oriented 
study at your institution will be of great help to me. I hope my

to Communications Department as a graduate.
