偶想是不是可以从应用的角度来理解和使用，即
except 强调不同类事物的区别.
1)e. g.: All has gone out except me.
2)e. g.: He has done everything except cleaning the floor.
except for 强调同一事物中不同性质的区别.
3)e. g.: He is generally a good guy except for some selfishness.
4)e. g.: It is a nice day except for some wind.
5)e. g.: The project you have done makes us absolutely disappointed,
         except for completing this application that at least can
         make some money for our company.
象这样不考虑语法而寻找“感觉”, 即如果想强调一些
不同的事物,使用except,如果需要指出同一事物内部的
区别，则用except for.例如example 5), 如果使用except,
至少语感就很不好.同样如果在example 2) 中使用expcet for,
也很牵强.因为everything包含了不同的事物，project则指
示了一种事物.
