i don't think GREing has much knowledge in GRE & Toefl.
cos' i've already got the experience of applications for
American univ., in my opinion------

:)if u wanna apply to the top tier univ.(>=30+), maybe u'd
  better to get a score G>2200 and T>600

:)else---if u r a HIT student, and ur applying major is not
  a boo-shittin' one(such as污水处理。。。。。）, i advise
  u not to expect too excellent univ......u know, among
  3500 univ. in the states, the top 200 r all not bad.
  of course, top 100 is satisfyin'.  so,the G>=2000, T>=580
  is ok.  in fact, i got a not-bad G&T(especially in HIT),
  but when i received some admissions from U.S., i recognized
  G &n T really don't matter anything else......u know, there
  r never short of high scorers among Chinese applicants, and
  American professors always know that.

this is just my personal concern......;-)
