I'm studying Hospitality. My course
takes two years to finish. I did
my first year in Switzerland and
then transferred to US. After 6
months' study, I will get 6 months
plus 12 months internship. I will
get paid during my internship.
Normally international student
can only get 12 months internship
in his/her whole life in the US.

Question:
Is it possible for me to use the
first 6 months of internship then
continue my study in another
university, after that then use
the other 12 months of internship?

Answer:

I think you are talking about
practical training associated
with the F-1 status. You have a
total of ONE year of practical
training. If you use six months
and then go back to school again,
you will only have six months of
practical training left for next
time.
