本来是手稿，后来有一位飞友向我要这些问题的答案，索性就发在这了。
我只准备了主观性问题的回答，客观性问题大家可以据实回答，不是
关键。
1. Openning:
2. About Major:
   VO: So, you will go to Dartmouth College? What will you study？
    A: I will study Geophysics in Department of Earth Sciences.
   VO: How can it be used? what's that for?
    A: What I focus in is Wave Theory ,which can be used to understand the
       structure of the Earth's interior. As you know, we cannot directly
       see what it is inside the Earth. Yet, we could suppose some
       reasonable theoretical models. Through researching the records of
       the earthquake, we can make the models closer and closer to the actua
l
       structure.
   VO: Why do you like your major?
    A: I am curious about the Earth's interior. What I study now, say Wave
       Theory and Geology Information System, become more and more valuable
       to morden science. People benefit a great deal from these. So, I
       think my major is both interestin and useful.
      (I used to spend my holidays in Yunnan, where earthquake happened
       several times. I saw and heard much suffer caused by the earthquake,
       and curious about the tremendous natrual force. Geophysics can provid
e
       much knowledge and tools to meet my curiosity.)
3.  Study Abroad:
   VO: Have got any scholarship?
    A: Yes. The department offered me the Dartmouth Fellowship.
       (The Fellowship is renewable during my graduate study. I think I am
        an excellent student and I always study hard. So, I am confident of
        getting the financial aid in the second year and so on.)
   VO: Why do you receive financail aid from the college?
    A: It is because of my excellent academic records. Besides, there is
       close relation between my major and the research area of one professo
r
       there. He maybe hopes I could do some research with him and gave the
       committee some advice.
4.  About University:
   VO: How do you know this Univ.?
    A: I heard it from my advisor in PKU. He ever went to have a year's
       visit. Dartmouth College also has good reputation. It is a member of
       the Ivy League.
   VO: Why do you choose this Univ.?
    A: Because the research area of my coming advisor fits my interest very
       well. He himself is a great authority in that field. My current
       advisor recommended it to me strongly.
       And, I am fond of the teaching style there. Dartmouth College is
       famous for the close student-faculty interaction. and it provides a h
ighl
       personal learning environment.
   VO: Why do you want to study in USA but not in China
    A: Because in Geophysics, the United States is standing on the leading
       place. I want to learn the toppest theory and research methods.
       Especiallly, my coming advisor is an authority in the field of wave
       theory which I focus in.
5.  About Application:
   VO: Why don't you apply these universities listed in your GRE record?
    A: Because I took GRE test in last Febrary . I chose these universities
       according to my instructor's advice. He told me the department in
       those schools were good. But, when I received their application
       materials , I found they could not support international students
       this year. So, I did't apply them.
6. About Plan:
   VO: What is your plan?
    A: My current advisor always hopes I could come back. So, I will accept
       his invitation and come back to Peking University after my graduation

       from Dartmouth College. I will further the research of seismology
       in North China.
       ( I am always doing well in my study. With a Ph.D degree, I am
       confident of get such a research position in my department . In fact,

       our department in PKU has been lack of researchers these years. If, I
am
       so unlucky that I fail to get such a position, I will work in China
       Seismological Bureau. They welcome returning researchers.)
   VO: Give me reasons that can convince me you will come back to China.
    A: Because in my current  department, the research conditions and
       facilities are not so bad. What it really needs is scholars with
       advanced knowledge.
       My advisor always encourages us to go abroad, and after learning the
       advanced technology, come back. In fact, He himself came back from
       USC and become the director of the Department. He sets an good exampl
e
       for me. I think I will have more opportunities and a promising future

       in China, just as my advisor.
   VO: Can you tell me why 90% Chinese students did't come back?
    A: That is the past situation. Nowadays, more and more Chinese students
       have come back . My advisor  came back from USC and become the direct
or
       of the Department. He has done outstanding work.
   VO: Why do you want to pursue a Ph.D?
    A: I aim to become an expert in geophysics research. However, I have
       only learnt the basic knowledge with a Bachelor's Degree. I want to
       pursue a Ph.D degree in order to obtain the necessary speciality
       knowledge.
