6月18日，周四，早晨8::500领了137号。

6月19日，周五，7：20从家里出发，8：20到达签证处。
当时刚叫到70号。8：50，经安检进入签证处。在0号
窗口交了，I－20，0f-156,收据，护照，领了一浅紫的
塑料牌。

排队时，和周围的人聊起来，一个是清华E&E的校友，
一个是北工大的CS，还有一个是北航的。这次，共有
四个签证官，两男两女。

终于在10；30，我们被分给了2号窗口的一个有点秃顶
的白人老头，他旁边还有一个黑衣的中国女人翻译
 （My God!! 终于躲开了台湾和韩国妹妹〕

开始是，这个老头很友好，基本上不据。可当北航的
同伴去签的时候，情况急转直下：

O：签证官
BH：北航的同伴

O：What are the planets in the solar system?
BH:( a little confused)
老头以为她的major是astronomy
BH:My concentation is areonautics.
O: So, what is the fastest commercial plane?
BH:(....hm,hm...Rocket....)
O: (不动声色)what is the fastest military plane?
BH: a F-type?
O: Sorry, I can't grant you....come on next Thursday.
BH:(很坚决的解释她的专业是空气动力学〕
O：(依然很友好〕What should a pilot do to take down
    a plane.
BH:(有一点紧张) put down the ......lower the flaps...
O: flaps (很满意〕。。。。go to windwow 6, Thank you
BH: Thanx (兴奋的离开〕


这以后，老头对F－1问开始多起来。
问EE， what is risistance? what is transistor?

终于轮到我了。

ME；本人
BH；签证官

BH，(very polite) How are you ,sir?
Me: Fine , thank you.( I tried to submit the 
    Transcripts, T&G and Diploma, But he took
    no notice of them)
BH:SO let me ask you what is the difference 
   between fruit and vegetable?
Me: (puzzled)Fruits are things like apple ,grape
    ...Vegetable is what you eat during the dinner..
BH:(not satisfied) what is ...( a name of a plant or
    aninmal)
Me: I don't know, sir. my major is not zoology or 
    general biology, but Cellular Biology. We do our
    research at molecular and subcellular level.
BH: Hm..Hmm .what is the diffenence between animal fat
    and plant fat?
Me: The fatty acid in animal fat is saturated.
BH: (interested)saturated?
Me: By saturated, I mean you can add more hydrogen into
    animal fat.There is no....( I forgot the word for 
    碳碳双键)...Sorry , sir I am little nervours
BH: (very kind) Dont worry. You have given me the best
    answer this morning.(try to comfort me). Now go to 
    window 6, and thank you.
Me  Thank you very much.

一切都结束了！！
