那么，具体说来，建议大家首先精读新东方徐小平老师
的《美国签证哲学》（北京东方之星书店有售），真正
掌握自信、真实、合理、具体四大原则。然后，在此四
大原则基础之上，结合自己的专业背景和各方面情况，
精心准备英语口语，就一定应该拿到大家赴美留学必备
通行证—美国签证。

下面就是本人在领事馆与洋人talk的原文。

Me:Good morning, Sir
C(onsul):Good morning(Smile).
C:why you go to this school?
well, in this school, I will work on my Ph.D. 
study of Electrical Engineering, specilizing in
..., which is a very promising program sponsored 
by Rockwell Company. Specifically, what I am 
going to focus on is the applicaition of ... It 
will guarantee my brightest future in my 
field...
C: oh, why you applied in Beijing?
Me: I don't want to waste time. My first visa 
application was refused on June in ShenYang.... 
but the sir in Beijing told me that according to
your regulation, I should return shenyang to 
apply. I was very appreciated but I can 
understand it. Now the school has sent to the 
new I-20, so I come here to reapply... to start 
my study in January 1999, the spring semester 
...
C: Why the spring semester, not the fall semester?
Me: Because I can't meet the deadline of August 
21 of fall semester, so the school sent to me 
this new I-20...
(Silence)...
Me: This program is very promising, .. I will 
work close with the Flight control group of the 
company, to conduct research work on...
C:(Take out a paper and write sth on the 12th 
item of it...)
Me: Well, the sir in beijing told me that 
according to your regulation that I should apply 
for my visa in ShenYang because my permanent 
residence is in Harbin..In June I applied first 
time in ShenYang because I was working on my 
Master's degree in Harbin Institute of 
Technology.
After graduation I went to work in Beijing and I 
applied there. But before I started to work I 
applied for my visa...
C:(Look at the passport and see the issuing 
place is HeiLongJiang and stop writing)
So you live in Beijing?
Me: no, oh, yes. I am now an engineer in a 
computer company.
C:How much do you make for your work...?
Me:1300$.
C:(Smile) No, in here China?
Me:3000$, oh no, yuan, RMB(He smiled again) 
because I am in probation period and I am now 
fresh out of school. But after the probation 
period, my salary will rise up.
C: How much will you make?
Me:well, after the probation period, it will be 
4400 yuan a month. plus the bonus, my boss told 
me, I will make a yearly income of 60,000yuan...
C:(Looking at my Toefl and GRE score sheets)
C: ...(Put back the formmer paper and take out 
the visa paper)...(And begant to writh sth on 
the I-20)
Me:(Continue my exciting plan of study)...
C: (Smile)Please slow down your voice a 
little...
Me: Oh. I am sorry. (After 2 seconds)This 
program I will work on is very promising. Once
succeeded, it will bring up the systematical 
improvement to the flight control techniques of 
the human being...
C: Please come here to get your visa this 
afternoon at 4:00 o'clock.
